MODEL MIT (e-glove)

Adams introduced the models “MIT” and HF-1 as the world’s very first metal detectors that the operator wears on the hand or the wrist, over ten years ago.

The MIT & HF-1 have been specifically designed for Pat down and hand search procedures where the operator wants to be in close contact with
the subject being searched. The HF-1 gives the operator the added protection of a “Kevlar” glove. Both models can be worn on either left or right hand or even both hands at the same time, giving the operator the ability to search with two metal detectors simultaneously, allowing for rapid search procedures and greater efficiency.

When a metal object has been detected the “MIT” & HF-1 give an alarm indication by means of a silent vibration against the wearers wrist, allowing the operator a covert, tactical advantage. The “MIT” also gives the operator’s fingers complete dexterity to feel for concealed objects that are non-metallic.

Both models are fully automatic and require no adjustments for use. They are powered by one standard 9 Volt battery (per unit) or optional NiCad rechargeable battery. There are no visible wires, switches or buttons. Everything is housed in a machine washable (MIT only), soft stretching neoprene material. The operator just slips the “MIT” or HF-1 on to the hand, switches it to the “On” mode and starts searching... It’s that simple!

MODEL HF-1

The model HF-1 is built in to a Kevlar glove that gives the wearer the added protection against hypodermic needles punctures and injury from knife blades and other sharp objects.
